Diva is the lighted ghee lamp, a lamp fueled by clarified butter which is considered to be the most sattvic, or pure, light. Diva means heaven, brilliance, and that the light of the sun is what creates the brilliance of the day. The oil lamp is a sacred symbol worshiped by ancient cultures and is lit whenever one wishes to create a sacred space. It is said that when one is in prayer or meditation, a diva is necessary to be lit to clear the clouded mind, and for that purpose, the lighting of lamp is symbolic, signifying light over darkness. The light of the diva lamp is said to bring light to your heart.
This is our intention for our business and practice, to light the diva and help others to let shine their own inner light and glow in brilliance.
